Calangute
One of the finest beaches in India, it is rightly called the 'queen
of beaches'. The beach which stretches itself to 7 kms is one of the most popular holiday resorts. It is located 16 kms away from Panaji. The coconut trees surrounding the houses near the beaches enhance the beauty of the resorts, leaving no doubt about the constant demand for them.

Dona Paula
Between the rocks of Mandovi and Zuari is this enchanting beach. It is an isolated beach where you can relax and sunbathe with an amazing view of Marmagao Harbour. The beach is 7 kms from Panaji.

Colva Beach
The spell binding unison of the sand, sea and sky is the greatest attraction of this beach. It is 6 kms away from Margao. Salcete is proud of this place which sports such splendid scenic beauty. The beach also offers good accommodation.

Miramar
The nearest to Panaji, almost connected, is Miramar. The sand is extremely soft and golden in colour. Palm trees fringe this beach, giving it just that extra touch. It is one of the most famous beaches.

Anjuna
A popular beach for the young generation even during the 60's, this is one beach where the 'hippie' culture in Goa became notorious. This beach is adjoining the Chapora Fort and is about 18 kms away from Panaji.

Vagator
This beach is famous for the soft white sand that carpets the shore. The beach is surrounded by coconut palms and farm houses. The beautifully constructed Portuguese bungalows cannot fail to hold your attention. It is located 22 kms away from Panaji. The beach is located amidst the Chapora Fort on the North and North West and the Calangute beach to its South. To the South of the beach is also located Ozram, better known as 'Little Vagator'.

Arambol
This beach is mainly frequented by foreign visitors. It lies about 50 kms North of Panaji.

Agonda
A beach popular amongst visitors preferring isolation and peace, this beach provides some extremely scenic beauty. It is located 37 kms away from Margao.

Palolem
Just behind the Western Ghats, 37 kms from Margao is located Palolem. This beach is quite isolated in comparision to others and is known for its beauty.
